Creating a booking

Raise one or more bookings using the Create New Booking sheet.

You create bookings from the Bookings list. Bookings are created as open shifts — you don't choose a worker at this stage; you assign one afterwards (see Managing a booking).

Open the create sheet

On the Bookings list, click Create New Booking. A panel titled Create New Booking slides in from the right. It's a two-step flow: Add Details → Summary.

Step 1 — Add details

Fill in the booking. Fields marked with * are required:

Booking several shifts at once

To raise more than one booking in a single go:

  • Add another booking adds a fresh booking card.
  • Duplicate copies a card's details into a new one — handy for a recurring shift on different days.
  • Use the trash icon on a card to remove it.

Create as Confirmed

At the bottom of the sheet is a Create as Confirmed checkbox:

  • Ticked — the booking(s) are created with Confirmed status.
  • Unticked (default) — they're created with Pending status.

Step 2 — Summary and create

Click Next to review the Summary. Check the details, then create:

  • The button reads Create Booking for a single booking, or Create N Bookings when you've added several.
  • Use Back to return to the details, or Cancel to close. If you close with unsaved details you'll be asked to confirm discarding them.

Once created, your bookings appear in the list. The next step is usually to assign a worker — see Managing a booking.
