Modifiers
Define the conditions — weekends, bank holidays, short notice — that adjust a base rate.
A modifier is a condition that adjusts a base rate — weekends, bank holidays, short-notice bookings. A modifier only describes when it applies; the actual price effect is set per rate card, from that rate card's page (see Rate cards). When several modifiers match one booking, the one producing the highest rate on that card applies.

The modifiers list
Search with the Find a modifier box. The columns — each header opens a filter:

| Modifier | The modifier's name. |
| Applies when | A plain-English summary of its condition, e.g. Shift day of week is Sat, Sun. |
| Used in | How many rate cards use it ("Never used" if none). |
| Status | Active or Inactive — Active shown by default. |
Reordering modifiers
Rows have a drag handle on the left — drag it to reorder the list. The new order saves automatically and controls how modifiers are listed everywhere (including rate cards).
Creating a modifier
Click Create modifier. The panel asks for:
- Modifier name
*— e.g. Weekend. - Modifier code — a short reference, e.g. WKND.
- Applies when — the condition. Pick a field, then complete it:

| Shift day of week | is / is not, then toggle the days (Mon–Sun). |
| Shift date | Either Specific date — add one or more dates — or Bank holiday — tick holidays from the current year's list (or Select all). |
| Shift start time | is / is before / is after a time. |
| Booking notice period | less than a number of hours — for short-notice premiums. |
Each modifier has one condition. The rate it produces is set per rate card, not here.

Editing and retiring a modifier
From the row's ⋯ menu:
- Edit — change the name, code, or condition.
- Deactivate — the modifier stops applying to new bookings, but stays on any rate cards that already use it. Reactivate brings it back.
- Delete — only while it has never been used in a rate card; otherwise deactivate instead.
