Services
Maintain the master catalogue of the services you staff.
The Services tab is the master catalogue of everything you staff, with its base rate. Rate cards and modifiers build on these — a service that has been used anywhere can be deactivated, but never deleted, so your invoice history stays intact.

The services list
Use the Find a service box to search by name, code, description, or category. On the right, a By category / A–Z switch changes the layout:
- By category — services are grouped under their industry sector, each group headed by the sector name and a count pill. Services without a sector appear under No category.
- A–Z — a flat list sorted by name.
The columns — each header opens a filter for that column:

| Category | Its industry sector. "Other" sectors show your write-in text, e.g. Other — Care homes. |
| Description | A short description. |
| Base rate | The base hourly rate, in GBP. |
| Used in | How many rate cards use it ("Never used" if none). |
| Status | Active or Inactive. The list shows Active services by default — clear the Status filter to see everything. |
Creating a service
Click Create service. A panel slides in with these fields (required fields
are marked *):

Click Create service to save. The service can now be added to rate card drafts.

Editing, duplicating, and retiring a service
Open the ⋯ menu on a row:
- Edit — change any field. Editing affects draft rate cards only; live and expired versions keep the price they were built with.
- Duplicate — copy the service as a starting point for a similar one.
- Deactivate — hides the service from new rate card drafts. It stays on any cards that already use it, and you can Reactivate it anytime.
- Delete — only available while a service has never been used in a rate card. Once it's in use, delete is disabled ("history is kept") — deactivate instead.
