Managing a booking
Assign staff, add notes, notify the worker, and track a booking.
After a booking is created it's an open shift. Managing it means assigning a worker, sharing any notes, and notifying the worker β most of which you do from the booking's side panel.
Open the side panel
On the Bookings list, click a row to open the booking's side panel. The header shows the booking number and its current status. A legend notes that fields marked with a lock are read-only β those come from the original booking and can't be edited here.

The panel has these sections:
Shift Details
Read-only summary of the shift: Booking Type, Job Type, Client, Start Time, End Time, Break, and Work Hours.
Assign Staff
This is where you fill the shift:
- Open the Available Staff list (the chevron). It shows workers who are available for this shift. If none are, you'll see "No worker is available for this shift."
- Assign a worker. You can also message a worker, or unassign the current one with the Γ.
- Once assigned, you'll see either a green Staff Acknowledged badge (the worker has acknowledged the shift) or a Send Acknowledgement Reminder button.

Timesheet(s)
Shows a card per timesheet for the shift, marked Timesheet Submitted or Pending Submission, with a link to View Submitted Timesheet.
Notes
- Internal Notes (Admin Only) β editable; visible to your team only.
- Notes to Staff β editable; shared with the assigned worker.
- Client Booking Notes β read-only, from the booking.
Timeline
A history of activity on the booking, newest first.
Saving and notifying the worker
The panel footer has:
- Save & Close β saves your changes (assignment, notes) and closes the panel.
- Save & Notify β saves and notifies the assigned worker. This is only available once a worker is assigned; until then it's disabled with the hint "Assign a worker first to notify them."
- Cancel β discards unsaved changes.
Use Save & Notify when you want the worker to be told about the shift (or about a change). Use Save & Close for internal edits you don't need to push to the worker.

The full booking page
Clicking the Booking Number (in the list or the panel header) opens the booking's full page, with Overview, Timesheet, and Expenses tabs. The Overview groups the same information into Schedule, Notes, Assignment, Timeline, and Audit, and offers a Save and Notify action in its command bar. Here the Status and schedule fields are editable, so this is the place to, for example, mark a booking Completed or Cancelled.
